The Sapekhati College was established on 11th August, 1988 by the decision of a few devoted people of Sapekhati and its surrounding areas .The college is located in a rural area in Charaideo District of Assam. Since its establishment the institution has been serving sincerely to spread educations to surrounding areas. The college provides educational upliftment to a large section of students coming from the Tea-Tribes, SC- ST, OBC, and the other neighboring states like Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland.
The college has a campus spread over 3.0059 acres of land with adequate infrastructure facilities. The college offers B.A. in three year degree course (CBCS) which is divided by six semesters through the subjects Assamese, English, Economics, Education, History, Political Science and Sociology. In addition to this the college offers Degree and Certificate course under KKHSOU and D.U. Distance Education study center ( DUDODL).
Sapekhati College is a rural based college. It has been leaving no stone unturned in its efforts to fulfill the growing needs of higher education in its rural areas. The teaching staff is always ready to guide and encourage the students. Each and every student can avail individual care in pursuing their studies from the teachers who are committed to their faithful services. The college is permanently affiliated to Dibrugarh University. It is included under sections 2(f) and 12(B) of UGC Act, 1956.
