Message from Principal
Sapekhati College, a premier institution in Sapekhati has been providing higher education in the Arts Stream since its establishment in the year 1988. From that time onwards, a lot of dedicated teachers strive to bring the College as a leading institution of Dibrugarh University. It has played a key role in academic upliftment of disadvantaged students of Sapekhati and its surrounding areas. The provincialisation of the College in 2013 has added new strength to the College. We are trying our best to prepare our students to meet the changing needs of the modern world. Though, we are fully committed to taking the College towards new vistas of academic excellence, yet we are far away from being established as an ideal institution and we, the family of Sapekhati College stick this institution.
Its’ my earnest request to all the stakeholders to keep in the spirit, vision and mission of the College and to walk earnestly for the prosperous future of the College and the society.
About the College
The Sapekhati College was established in the year 1988 by a decision of a representative public meeting at the initiative of a few educationist of Sapekhati and the surrounding. The college is located in a rural area in Charaideo district of Assam. This primer institute since its establishment has been serving sincerely to spread educations to surrounding area. The College provides educational upliftment of a large section of students coming from the tea tribes, SC/ST, Other backward communities and from other neighboring states Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland.
The college has a campus spread over 10.2 acres of land with adequate infrastructure facilities. The college offers B.A.in three years degree course through the subjects Assamese, English, Political Science, Sociology and History. In addition to this the college offers degree and certificate course under KKHSOU and DU Distance Education Study Centre.
